Hoping wind would go out of bay a bit later int he afternoon went out again after earlier session. Wind instead increased to average 31 knots gusting 36 knots, but was easier than earlier as sea not as choppy. Got most gybes in outside and quite a few inside, only trying one wave ride as gusty close to shore and weekend learner-surfers in the zone. On bigger swells outside I sometimes flipped sail before feet which smoothed turn in trough - nice to learn something new. Out for bit less than an hour then gave up as near miss with kiter (my fault) and started to get thrown as gusts increased - quit whilst ahead. A smaller board and sail would have been even better
